Dr. Gail P. Wilson

Research Manager

Dr. Gail P. Wilson is an author, researcher, and education advocate. She earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Human Development from Fielding Graduate University. She is the author of the recent (2022) book chapter, “The role of intentional leadership in makerspaces: A social justice and capabilities approach. Dr. Wilson holds a B.S. degree in Behavioral/Social Science from the University of Maryland, University College. Prior to entering her doctoral program, Dr. Wilson worked as a career counselor, completing her counseling internship at a Maryland workforce development non-profit. It was this experience that awakened a life-long interest and passion for assisting Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) youth and young adults from underserved communities, as they seek their direction in life. Her commitment to advocacy work for the educational empowerment of youth and young adults is her greatest joy. Dr. Wilson’s focus and research is in the area of educational leadership and workforce development equity.
